In a market where clarity and recognition are essential, Farmers Rice required a packaging design that could communicate instantly while standing out on the shelf. Designed for accessibility and strong visual impact, the brand needed to be easy to recognise from a distance and clearly convey what the product is—no confusion, no complexity.

Through the Farmers Rice Packaging Design, we developed a solution that balances bold communication with cultural storytelling. The result is a highly legible, product-focused design that connects with its audience while delivering a distinctive and memorable presence in the Solomon Islands market.

 
 

Brand Vision

Farmers Rice is built around values of prosperity, renewal, and connection to the land—principles deeply rooted in rice farming traditions. The vision was to create a brand that feels positive, trustworthy, and easy to understand, while respecting the cultural origin of the product.

The Farmers Rice Packaging Design needed to prioritise clarity above all, ensuring the product could be recognised quickly regardless of literacy level. At the same time, it was important to bring in a sense of story and origin—celebrating Vietnamese rice farming in a way that feels respectful, authentic, and visually engaging.

WHAT WE CREATED

We began with a bold, product-specific logo placed prominently on the packaging to ensure strong visibility and instant recognition, even from a distance. Set in clear, all-caps typography, the FARMERS wordmark prioritises readability while sitting confidently under the Daily Choice brand.

To reinforce immediate product understanding, we introduced a transparent window in the shape of a bowl of rice—showcasing the actual product inside. This visual cue removes any ambiguity, allowing consumers to instantly recognise what they are purchasing.

The Farmers Rice Packaging Design is further elevated through a hand-drawn illustration inspired by Vietnamese rice paddies. This artwork celebrates the product’s origin while creating a unique and ownable visual identity within the local market.

Supporting this is a solid colour panel that organises product information in a clean, structured way. Positioned alongside the window, it ensures clear communication while maintaining a professional and cohesive layout.

The final result is a packaging design that is bold, culturally respectful, and highly functional—designed to communicate instantly, stand out on shelf, and connect meaningfully with its audience.
